Do you take insurance?
First Fit Physical Therapy is now accepting insurance through the following providers:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
If your insurance is not listed above, then we are considered an Out of Network provider. We can still treat you and we can submit to your insurance on your behalf.
Do I need a referral to be seen by a physical therapist?
No, you do not need a referral from your physician. In the state of Maryland physical therapists have direct access, which means that you can be seen without a referral.
Please note that your insurance company may still require a referral from a physician; please check this if you plan to submit your receipts for reimbursement.
What are the benefits of choosing a care-based model of physical therapy?
Our care based model is dedicated directly towards one-to-one patient care. A typical physical therapy clinic, will assign multiple patients to one physical therapist at the same time!
It has been found that some therapy clinics will direct treatment based upon how the insurance company reimburses the clinic. We believe that treatment should be prescribed based upon the patients needs, not insurance reimbursement.
A benefit to our care-based model is that you can achieve faster results with less visits.
“Quality isn’t expensive… it’s priceless.”
Do I have to stop working out or playing my sport while getting treatment?
At First Fit, we understand the need to participate in your sport or activity through an injury. Together, we will create a plan of care that will allow you to continue to be active as long we can ensure that you will not exasperate your injury.
